Mary Anastasia O'Grady
Mary Anastasia O'Grady writes a weekly column about Latin American and Canada on economics, economics, and business. She is a opinion columnist. Her column is published every Monday. She has a bachelor's degree in English from Assumption College and an M.B.A. in financial management from Pace University. O'Grady has received the Walter Judd Freedom Award, the Thomas Jefferson Award (2009), the Bastiat Prize for Journalism (2005), and the Inter American Press Association's Daily Gleaner Award for editorial commentary (1997). O'Grady joined the Wall Street Journal in August of 1995 and became a senior editorial page writer in December of 1999. In November of 2005, she was appointed to the editorial board. Also, she is apart of a board of directors for an Indianapolis based Liberty-Fund.
